My name is Michael Hornberger. I am the Professor of Applied Dementia Research at the Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia, Norwich, United Kingdom.

I am neuroscientist and have been working in the dementia field for the last ~15 years. I have been always very passionate about science communication throughout all these years. I regular give talks to the public, from science festivals talks to Q&A sessions at local dementia groups. I am also leading the UEA Dementia Open Forum, which presents current dementia research findings to the public, clinical professionals and scientists.
This is my first attempt of taking my science communication online. The purpose of the blog is to ‘translate’ recent scientific dementia findings into lay language. Over time, I hope to add as well more background information on dementia and its history.
Feel free to get in touch to suggest any topics or to request to speak to me personally.
